Weeks ago, I saw a 50% off deal on Ensogo for Enchanted Kingdom all-day passes, and immediately wanted to grab a few pairs had I not remembered I’ve a 4-month old in tow.
The Philippines’ premier theme park, Enchanted offers a bevy of adrenaline-pumping rides and a truly enchanting experience to both kids and the kid at heart. The well-dressed parkzones are a true testament to this.

No sleep yet! Catching on some nap time while waiting for the Santa Rosa bus to get full. |
The elegant Victoria Park serves as EK’s frontliner, housing its grand entrance and the lavish carousel. Here you also get to meet EK’s signature mascot, Elder the Wizard. A few ladies donning Victorian Era dresses also roam around, entertaining visitors’ requests for cam poses.
Kiddies and tots will surely love Boulderville with its prehistoric effigies and facilities like the Air Pterodactyl and the Boulderville Express. My niece loved the egg-shaped mini-ferries wheel.

NASA Astronaut mascot. Looks real. |
Here, the husband and I were also able to try the 560-meter Kart-Trak paved circuit. The circuit is smooth and easy to navigate even for beginners. A bit pricey, though (P250 for single carts/3 laps, if I remember correctly).
but my favorite park zone has got to be the Midway Boardwalk. Constructed to mimic NY’s Coney Island, it exudes a very relaxed, merry feel. Most of the food kiosks are situated here, along with some of the more extreme rides such as Anchor’s Away, Wheel of Fate and the EKstreme Tower Ride.
While huge and towering, Wheel of Fate is not as frightening as it looks like. The pacing is rather slow and mellow, the seats are very spacious and stable, and the gates and poles, secure. IMO, the wobbly, roofless ones in various local peryahan are seriously more nerve-wracking (rode those one too many times and I still get the shaky feeling everytime). The view up top is priceless. Could make for a very romantic date.

The Midway Roller Skater is a suitable alternative if you’re jittery to try the riveting Space Shuttle. Smaller and shorter, it features much, much gentler slopes and side sweeps. No scary cobra rolls here.

One’s bound not to run out of enchanting experiences while in EK. Despite the long queues, skyrocketing prices, and tourist hordes, the magic does stay.
