I’m in the middle of work and have a bazillion assignments to work on, so I’ll make this real quick:
1. Along with a handful of other female travel bloggers and writers, I had an interview with Manila Bulletin last week on how it is to travel as a mom with a kid. It’s out today on your local newsstands. It’s quite an insightful read with lots of traveling-with-small-kids tips, so please do grab a copy.
2. It’s been a very hectic and stressful two weeks, losing ALL of my files in one disk drive of my laptop from an ‘accidental’ reformat. I ended up recovering all the photos, but over half of the videos and documents are now corrupted – including written assignments I’ve yet to submit to my boss and other clients.
So the last two weeks up until now, I spend sorting through 15,000+ files to separate the corrupted from not, and putting up EACH SINGLE file back to its proper folder.
I have tons of articles to rewrite and tons of people that I ought to make articles and blog posts for, including The Santa Ana Heritage Tourism Association, who’s been very gracious to offer us a tour of their historic community (thank you so much!).
While I’ve yet to finish the blog post I’ve drafted for them (haven’t gotten to sorting photos for that yet), I do encourage you to visit Santa Ana in Manila. They’ve a fantastic array of old heritage structures, it’s kind of mind-blowing.
I, for one, didn’t know that the Sta. Ana Church had Ming Dynasty tiles and a painting that’s considered a National Cultural Treasure in its Camarin. And that right in front of Savemore are encased jars that date back to the Spanish colonial period!
(I didn’t even know Sta. Ana has a Savemore Supermarket already. LOL.)
The tour costs almost nothing, and proceeds go to the indigent locals of Sta. Ana.

With all that said, I hope to put in something when all this chaos is through – those stories I’ve been meaning to share and who are crying to be told.
Have a swell Valentine’s y’all and enjoy your weekend (the way that I couldn’t).
