Have you got a plan for tomorrow night yet? If not, head on out to Makati Avenue corner Kalayaan for the Fete de la Musique 2012 and enjoy a night of great music, whatever your genre is!

One of my last few Fete attendances. 2005 (?).
Caught with a camera cellphone pa. Hehe.

Every year, hundreds of artists from various music genres across the globe gather in this unique event to celebrate the spellbinding charm of music. Multiple stages are set up in a single area, each dedicated to a particular genre, all holding performances simultaneously.

With the theme “Tribute to the Beatles”, this year’s Fete will be featuring such artists as Cynthia Alexander, Ciudad, Imago, Jeepney Joyride, Paul Zialcita, Arbiewon, Radioactive Sago Project, JR Oca Experience, Hilera, Pepe Smith, and Hijo, among many, many others.

This is also one of your (rare) last chances to watch Cynthia Alexander perform live before she migrates to the USA with her family at the end of the month (Yep. She is going for good. Sad, no?)

Doors open at 4pm. Admission is absolutely free in all 8 stages, and you can hop from one stage to another to enjoy the eclectic offerings of each one. I usually prefer the rock stage, but I find the other ones such as reggae and world music to be equally zesty, too.

(I’d love to say “see you there”, but unfortunately, Lia’s way too young to be brought to concerts).

Here is the full list of performers for all 8 stages:
