My sister recently started a home-based online retail biz, Bows & Co., where she offers unique, quality and ultra-affordable raw materials for DIY ladies who love to create handicrafts and neat hand-made accessories for tots and little girls.  And I ain’t kiddin when I say ultra-affordable. 


A fluffy clip centerpiece like the one above only retails at P15 at her store. The smallest of alligator clips sells for less than P40 per dozen. A ready-made clip with that kind of bow could sell between P100 to P200 in other e-sellers. And the best part is, there is no minimum order required. You could purchase just a yard of grosgrain ribbon or a P5-centerpiece and she’d ship that to you anywhere in the Philippines. Shipping expenses to be shouldered by you, of course 🙂


Her vast collection of cutely raw materials include centerpieces, alligator clips, bands (crochet, elastics, etc.), bows, grosgrain ribbons, laces,embellishments, and other raw craft materials.The store is just in its initial baby steps, but soon she will also be launching handmade bows, clippies and headbands. This is a business that was born out of love for crafts and entrepreneurship. Since we were kids, my sister would craft beaded bracelets and rings and sell them at school. At 13, she dragged a plastic table and a monoblock chair outside the house everyday and sell her homemade pastillas and handmade accessories altogether – all at rock-bottom prices. Half-Chinese, she believes in that Chinese quality of tubong-lugaw. More consumers and better quality than quantity, she would always say. She’s passionate about entrepreneurship like that.



Now as much as I’d love to make these delightful stuff myself, I’m not just as gifted in that arena, so I’ll leave the clip-making and selling to her, and just be her little cheerleader.

I'm a fulltime mom with two kids. in my spare time, I really love doing DYI crafts and some ribbons, bows, flowers crafts. etc. and looking/searching at internet for some tutorials. eversince (since highchool!) that's really what I love to do, and with this give away, I really really want to have it. for my little girl and also for me na din.. 🙂
