A new era in mobile technology has emerged as tech giant DTC Mobile Distribution, Inc.(DTC-MDI) introduced its first wave of sleek, budget-friendly dual sim phones last February 13 at Midas Hotel in Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.

Flocked by peers from both print and online media, the highly anticipated launch showcased six dual sim classic and QWERTY phones, all boasting comprehensive features at incredibly low prices. With units ranging from P888 to P1,999, DTC’s highly competitive mobile offerings are expected to play a stable post in today’s fierce mobile industry.

Focusing on the need to communicate, DTC tied up with top-notch Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Wittis International, to integrate internet and social networking features such as YM,Twitter and Facebook in their first wave units as well as all forthcoming units.

“We want a device that’s people-oriented. Our mission is to enable passion and innovation in people’s everyday lives by bringing value to customers, especially social networking”, says Wittis International Operations Director James Yuk.

Created with classic chic designs and the basic essentials – including  camera, music and video player and bluetooth – DTC phones offer an affordable yet technologically-competitive alternative to steeply-priced cellphones existing in the market today, and provide easy access to social network connections.

A complete suite of mobile phones
While DTC’s first wave units do not have a flash for nighttime snapshots, all of them are powered by digital camera technology. All units are bluetooth-enabled (except for the GB1 Ultra), have colored display, music and video player, and a micro SD slot.

You also might be interested to know that the dual sim feature is dual-active, which means one doesn’t need to switch the unit off to use the other SIM card. All received messages automatically show up in your inbox regardless of which SIM you are using. Users have the option to use either SIM card when replying, so it is not necessary to reload in case one of the SIM cards runs out of load.

DTC: The Beginning
Founded in 2011, DTC began as a joint venture of MDI and DTC, under DTC’s mother company, MegaCellular Network, Inc. (MCNI). Spanning 20 years in the business, MegaCellular rose to the challenge of the Filipinos’ ever-changing mobile needs by coming up with their own line of phones that will enable them to keep up with connections without costing an arm and a leg.
