ABOUT GRETCHEN

I am a writer born and raised in the Philippines. In a past life, I was a fast food server, a pre-med student, call center agent, office clerk, and a nurse. But in 2015, I landed a writing assignment for a travel magazine, went on to become an EIC for a travel mag, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Currently, I work full time as a Corporate Communications writer for a global tech company and moonlight as a consultant for brands that require snazzy copies and editorial work.

When I am not adulting, I dabble in poetry and creative nonfiction, with some of my works nominated for the Best of the Net and Pushcart Prize, and receiving distinction from the 2023 Greg Grummer Poetry Prize and Navigator’s 2017 Travel Writing Competition. Two of my chap collections also made it to the semifinals of the Button Poetry Chapbook Competition.

I hope to one day read all the books I hoard, write forever, scale more mountains, and experience more worlds.

FEATURES AND MEDIA MENTIONS

I am, by no means an expert, but simply someone who loves writing, a good walk, bus rides, memorable stories, and an occasional dash of randomness. There are times we  tend to get too overzealous and get people into thinking otherwise.

Below are some print and digital works we were featured in.
